Post Secondary Program
The Post-Secondary Student Program is a summer employment program funded by the Government of Prince Edward Island and administered by SkillsPEI. The Program is designed to create jobs for post-secondary students by providing a financial incentive to Island employers who provide students with summer employment in their field of study.
Eligible employers can include private, non-profit and public sector employers operating in Prince Edward Island.
Amount of Assistance
SkillsPEI will reimburse a portion of hourly wages paid by private sector, not-for-profit and public sector employers who create approved positions under the program. Positions can be funded for up to 40 hours per week for a period of 8 to 14 weeks. Wage reimbursement rates for 2017 will be confirmed with employers upon notice of approval.
How Do I Apply?
Organizations seeking assistance under the Post Secondary Student program must complete the application form found below and submit it to our office.
